Independence Mission Schools
Independence Mission Schools (IMS) is a nonprofit network of 14 independent Catholic schools serving 4,000 students in grades Pre-K to 8 from families of all faiths in and near Philadelphia. The school's mission is embodied in its motto: **Strong Minds. Loving Hearts.** IMS provides a unique educational experience through its network of independent Catholic schools, challenging students to develop strong minds with a rigorous curriculum and high expectations, while nurturing the development of moral character, respectful behavior, and loving hearts. IMS has implemented **data-driven instruction** at all schools, ensuring that students receive a personalized and effective learning experience, and has adopted **research-based math and ELA curriculums**, providing students with a solid foundation in these subjects. The school offers various key features, including **high-performing high schools**, **improved school facilities**, and **tuition subsidies**, making quality education more accessible to all. IMS also provides financial aid to every family, and its graduates have a strong track record of enrollment in reputable high schools, with 81% of graduates enrolled at an Archdiocesan Catholic high school, an Independent Catholic or Non-Catholic School, or a PHL Special Admit/Magnet school. Additionally, IMS offers programs such as the **Beyond the Bell after school enrichment program**, which provides students with additional support and opportunities for growth outside of regular school hours. The school's commitment to Catholic values and its focus on developing moral character and respectful behavior are unique characteristics that set it apart from other educational institutions.
