Northwest Pennsylvania Collegiate Academy

Northwest Pennsylvania Collegiate Academy is an urban, college preparatory magnet school with a 100% four-year college acceptance rate. The school offers a rigorous educational approach, featuring 25 Advanced Placement courses taught by College Board–authorized faculty, with students taking approximately 800 Advanced Placement tests and completing over 100 dual enrollment college courses each year. The academy has several unique characteristics and achievements, including being ranked number four in Pennsylvania and top 1% nationally by Newsweek's annual report of top American public schools, and being designated as one of fewer than 300 Blue Ribbon Schools in the nation by the U.S. Dept. of Education in 2013.
