Mabel G. Holmes School No. 5

Mabel G. Holmes School No. 5 is led by Principal Colomb Thomas-Petit, along with Vice Principals Gabriela Iannacone and Linda Mary Haustein. The school features several academies, including the Preparatory Academy, Elizabeth High School Frank J. Cicarell Academy, and the Admiral William F. Halsey Jr. Health and Public Safety Academy, among others. The school has implemented an anti-bullying program, with an Anti-Bullying Specialist and an Anti-Bullying Coordinator, and offers various programs such as character education, as evidenced by its 2025 NJ School of Character award. Additionally, the school provides Early Childhood registration and publishes an Excellence News newsletter to keep the community informed about its activities and achievements.
