Westward Elementary
Westward Elementary is an International Baccalaureate (IB) Magnet school that strives to develop inquiring, knowledgeable, and caring young people who help create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. The school's mission is to encourage the development of knowledgeable, principled, and caring students who strive to become active citizens of their global community. Westward Elementary offers a well-rounded education in areas such as technology, arts, science, theater, media, Spanish as a second language, and physical education. The school's core values are guided by the acronym GHIPE, which represents developing global citizens, high accountability and academic achievement, being agents of inspiration, promoting professional development, and efficacy for students and staff. Additionally, the school provides free breakfast and lunch to its students and has a School Advisory Council that advises the school on various matters. Westward Elementary also offers a Choice program, allowing students to explore different educational pathways, and provides a supportive and inviting learning environment.
