Community Montessori

Community Montessori focuses on the whole child, encompassing their mind, body, and spirit. The school is held accountable to the standards and achievement goals of BVSD. The Montessori classroom at Community Montessori facilitates the child's development of independence, concentration, coordination, and self-respect, emphasizing respect and responsibility for self, others, and the environment. A graduate of Community Montessori is expected to have respect and responsibility for themselves, others, and the environment. The school's unique characteristics include its focus on the whole child and its use of the Montessori method to facilitate independence, concentration, and coordination. The educational approach involves individual or collaborative discovery of concepts through experiential work, with the Lower Elementary student learning through discovery and the Upper Elementary curriculum building on the Lower Elementary experience.
